Elliot Zimmerman is the CEO of Real Life Sciences – an American-based software development company , supporting organisations share clinical data and meet global regulatory requirements . Here , he speaks to us about clinical trials and how enterprises can balance the transparency and privacy of data .

Zimmerman also leads the team at Real Life Sciences in advancing Clinical Trial Transparency for Sponsors , CRO ' s and the Disclosure and Transparency community at large . He retains a pharmaceutical and clinical technology background with previous experience as COO at goBalto – before its acquisition by Oracle in 2018 .

Zimmerman also serves on the Steering Committee of CRDSA ( Clinical Research Data Sharing Alliance ) and is passionate about accelerating the clinical trial process and making it easier for pharmaceutical companies to share and disclose trial results .

While Regional Check-up , on page 44 , showcases a recent University of Cambridge study , where robots are being used to assess children ’ s mental well-being . A team carried out a study with 28 children between the ages of eight and 13 and had a child-sized humanoid robot administer a series of standard psychological questions . What the researchers found was that the children were more willing to confide in the robot and , in some cases , share information that they had not yet disclosed . Needless to say , it ’ s worth a read .

For our Under The Microscope , on page 60 , we talk to Tim Dunn , Chief Commercial Officer , Onebright . He speaks to us about his most memorable achievement , life outside of the office and emerging technologies within the healthcare space .
