Hello and welcome to the fourth edition of Intelligent Health . tech . I hope you have all had a lovely start to the new year and enjoy our latest issue .

For our cover story this month we feature Philip Daffas , CEO , PainChek .
PainChek was founded in 2016 with the purpose to give a voice to those who cannot reliably verbalise their pain – particularly those people living with dementia or cognitive impairment and pre-verbal children .
Recently , it partnered with InterSystems to help achieve global expansion and accelerate the company into the hospital sector .
In addition , PainChek is using InterSystems IRIS for Health to integrate its application with electronic medical record ( EMR ) systems . So , by combining the companies ’ platforms , this will facilitate PainChek ’ s hospital global market entry and help transform pain management in the hospital sector , while benefiting new markets like home care , in the future . Daffas tells us more on page 48 .
Our Editor ’ s Question focuses on the introduction of the four-day week . We asked three business leaders for their thoughts and they offer their insights on page 25 .
Dissecting Business , on page 29 , is one I ’ m particularly excited about this month ! It ’ s a very interesting case study about Pfizer . Its employees worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to produce a vaccine and the company wanted to recognise its staff ’ s efforts . It partnered with WorkHuman to implement a rewards and recognition programme globally . Janice Beauchamp , SVP , People Experience , Wellness and Workplace Engagement , Pfizer , tells us more .
Regional Check-up , on page 44 , explores Colombian-based health insurance company , Mutual Ser EPS , and how the company implemented Fortinet ’ s security solutions to protect its cloud network .
Sticking to the theme of partnerships , Digital Diagnostics , on page 63 , looks at the one between Rubrik and the Royal Flying Doctors Service Queensland , in Australia . Rubrik has helped the business protect critical data and minimise the risk of ransomware attacks against the organisation .
In a similar vein , Scrubbing Up , on page 67 , highlights the National University Health System in Singapore and how it has deployed TIBCO
