REPORT SHOWS EMPLOYERS ARE EXCLUDING NEURODIVERSE CANDIDATES
Sparta Global – a leading hire-traindeploy company specialising in the provision of emerging business and technology talent – has released a report highlighting how neurodiverse people bring in-demand perspectives to technology but are not being supported and empowered across employment .
Sparta Global ’ s 2023 EqualTech report has been curated from a survey of 500 senior and C-suite individuals working in organisations across almost every industry sector . The digital skills gap in the UK continues to present significant challenges for UK employers and the wider economy . Sparta Global ’ s research indicates that when companies attract and retain neuroinclusive digital teams , they are more likely to gain and sustain a competitive advantage across areas such as computational thinking , observation , adaptability and intuition . Positively , 87 % of digital leaders surveyed in our research believe that neurodiversity will be a top priority for their companies in 2023 and 54 % stated that COVID-19 accelerated conversations around the commitment to neurodiversity .
In contradiction , Sparta Global ’ s research also shows awareness has not equalled change . The report notes that just 21 % of respondents work for businesses that tailor their recruitment practices to neurodivergent candidates . In turn , this means 79 % of organisations have taken no steps to accommodate those with neurodiverse characteristics .
DATA-DRIVEN HEALTHCARE TO BE FUELLED BY FHIR INTEROPERABILITY BOOST healthcare organisations to focus more on the standardisation of data exchange . Interestingly , adoption of FHIR-enabled interoperability is expected to increase from 11 % to 66 % in the next 12 months .
InterSystems has revealed expected changes in Australia and New Zealand ’ s interoperability landscapes that would increase the limited data currently available for health analytics and boost data-driven care .
A new study , The State of Healthcare Analytics & Interoperability Study
– Australia & New Zealand , was conducted Ecosystm for InterSystems . It surveyed 180 healthcare executives across public and private organisations , large and small hospitals and city and rural locations . It found that 94 % of healthcare executives want to change their existing data exchange mechanisms , while just 66 % want
These improvements in interoperability would address limitations in the data available for health analytics that currently hamper data-driven care initiatives needed to meet community expectations and boost the effectiveness of healthcare without increasing costs .
“ Healthcare organisations are currently limited in the datasets they can analyse ,” said Darren Jones , Country Manager , Australia and New Zealand for InterSystems .
“ Because of data exchange issues , analytics solutions typically work within information silos , without access to the bigger picture . This limits innovation in the use of data to improve healthcare delivery .”
