For our cover story , Her Excellency , Dr Mubaraka Mubarak Ibrahim , CEO OF AI and CIO of Emirates Health Services , who is a trailblazer in healthcare transformation , shares her experience and insights . With over three decades in the field , she has led initiatives like the Riayati unified medical record and virtual care systems , reducing CO 2 emissions by 15 million tonnes . Her leadership at EHS has driven numerous transformative digital health projects including creating a centralised Electronic Health Record ( EHR ) system , ensuring the integration of multiple platforms , external systems and government entities under the vision of ‘ One Patient , One Record .’ This ambitious project , along with many others , embodies her commitment to improving patient outcomes through technology .

This month ’ s Editor ’ s Question asks : How can healthcare organisations develop a cybersecurity approach that minimises human-targeted attacks while ensuring high-quality patient care ? On page 25 , we hear from several cybersecurity experts on how to best enhance practices and tools for patient data and safety in 2025 .
On page 32 , we take a closer look at Black River Memorial Hospital ( BRMH ) in Wisconsin .
