THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT TECHNOLOGY ; IT ’ S ABOUT THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY ’ S HEALTH .

horizon , with the Middle East set to play a pioneering role .
Globally , leaders like you are shaping the narrative around AI ’ s potential and ethical responsibilities . What advice would you give to future leaders striving to balance innovation , human-centric care and the ethical implications of AI in their industries ?
I believe there are four key areas leaders must consider when implementing AI in any industry :
1 . Human oversight : While AI can transform industries , human oversight is crucial at every stage of the AI life cycle . Ensuring that AI outputs are accurate , reliable and aligned with ethical standards is non-negotiable .
2 . Accountability : Leaders must take full responsibility for their AI systems , ensuring transparency and trust in how these technologies are applied . Accountability builds trust , which is the foundation of AI ’ s acceptance in society .
3 . Data security and privacy : An effective AI strategy must prioritise security measures , privacy protocols and contingency planning . Ensuring the safe handling of data is key to AI ’ s ethical deployment .
4 . Human-centric approach : AI systems must be designed to improve lives and align with human values . Keeping people at the centre of AI development ensures that innovation serves a greater good .
Leaders must embrace a mindset of strategic equilibrium , where rapid AI advancement is matched by a firm commitment to ethical and sustainable practices . Regulation should not be seen as a barrier but as a guiding framework that enables responsible innovation . The UAE ’ s National Strategy for AI 2031 exemplifies this approach , focusing on ethical AI practices , workforce development and sustainable growth across industries .
