Hello and a warm welcome to this special edition of Intelligent Health. tech. It’ s a pleasure to be publishing this magazine once more, which focuses on the latest news, thought leadership and updates on technology within the healthcare industry from around our regions.

The front cover features Bjørn Anton Graff, Project Manager at Vestre Viken Hospital Trust, which stands at the forefront of Norwegian healthcare, serving over 500,000 residents across the Buskerud region. Driven by a commitment to digital innovation within the public health system, Vestre Viken became Norway’ s first hospital trust to interface Philips AI Manager with Philips Vue PACS and Radiology Information System, setting a new national standard for safe, scalable and effective AI deployment in radiology and ensuring access to cutting-edge AI technologies, all while upholding national benchmarks for quality, security and interoperability. As NHS trusts accelerate AI adoption, many are attempting to layer new technologies onto fragmented systems and disconnected data. The result? AI that is difficult to scale, hard to govern and unlikely to deliver on its promise. Joanne Atkinson, Blue Light Business Development Manager at Node4, argues that the NHS is asking the wrong questions about AI. Before trusts focus on what AI can do, they must first ensure their data, governance and people are ready to support it. She explores why AI readiness – not AI capability – will ultimately determine whether NHS AI projects succeed or fail. Turn to page 24.
As treatments become more specialised, healthcare professionals often hear from sales reps, medical teams and marketers across different meetings, emails and websites. But these interactions do not always connect. Important insights from one conversation can be lost, leaving healthcare professionals to need to repeat questions or search through lengthy documents for answers. In this article, Chris Moore, President, Europe, Veeva Systems, explores how an emerging approach known as Agentic Commercial could change this. Turn to page 35.
We also have an Intelligent Technology section dedicated to all the latest technology developments affecting healthcare and a page called Project Round-Up which features news from across our regions.
